Peatland Restoration: Theory and Practice Event

Dates: 25th & 26th April 2019
The Crichton Carbon Centre, on behalf of Peatland ACTION, will be running a two day peatland
restoration training event designed specifically for:
  • Ecological Clerk of Works
  • Contractors looking to undertake peatland restoration projects
  • Consultants lookingto undertake peatland restoration projects, peatland condition assessments and
  • feasibility studies
  • Agents preparing peatland restoration projects
  • Land Managers and Factors
The training event will include:
  • An overview of Scotland’s peatland resource, peatland condition and extent
  • An overview of restoration techniques
  • An introduction to planninga peatland restoration project
  • A site visit to discuss restorations techniques
The event is free of charge with lunch and refreshments provided. Spaces are limited so booking is essential.
