Dr Carmen Sánchez-García (Swansea University) is a postdoctoral researcher focussed on understanding and assessing the effects of fire on soils and water quality using a combination of laboratory, fieldwork, and modelling approaches.

Abbey Marcotte is a PhD researcher at the Wageningen University (The Netherlands) researching wildfire impacts on temperate peatlands and will report on findings from research on the aftermath of the Stalybridge Moor (UK) wildfire in 2018.
