As part of the Peatland Code continuous improvement version updates and or changes to Peatland Code Methodology undergo a 30-day public consultation.

Peatland Code Consulations

Version 2.1 Public Consultation Summary:

Between 18th April and May 20th, the Peatland Code held an open public consultation on version 2.1 of the Peatland Code. The aim of this consultation was to ensure an open and transparent opportunity for input into version 2.1 and to ensure the Peatland Code remains accessible. 

The public consultation was carried out using an online survey which was shared via social media, email, local focus groups, Market and Investment Forums. Excel version of the public consultation was also made available to respondents who did not have access to the online survey. 

In total over 21 detailed responses were received from a range of project developers, market participants and academics. 

The public consultation feedback was discussed in the TAB and EB in June 2024.
