Conference 2021
The IUCN UK Peatland Programme 2021 conference focused on peatlands and the people behind them, exploring peatland conversation, restoration and sustainable management in action as well as the partnerships, evidence, policy and practice driving progress towards the UK Peatland Strategy goals.
Conference 2023
The IUCN UK Peatland Programme 2023 conference, with the theme of ‘Beyond Restoration’, allowed us to take a look into the future of peatland management, reflect on the collective direction of travel and explore mechanisms to secure the future of UK peatlands in the long-term.
Virtual Peatlands Pavilion
The Virtual Peatlands Pavilions champion the importance of global peatlands for the climate, people and the planet as a key nature-based solution to climate change. Previous pavilions were launched as part of the internationally important UN Climate Change Conferences – COP26, COP27 and COP28. The current pavilion is on a world tour of global events throughout 2025, culminating in COP28 in November.
