Peatland ACTION Fund Now Open for peatland restoration projects in Scotland

July 27, 2020

Peatland restoration funding is now open for applications, as announced by Roseanna Cunningham in her latest blog post.

One of the strengths of Peatland ACTION has been to work closely with partner organisations to deliver peatland restoration across Scotland. Building on the work undertaken to date, this year marks the first year of a new approach. Funding will now be provided direct to some of our partners, including Forestry and Land Scotland, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and the Cairngorms National Park, in order to increase capacity, resilience and skills across the sector.

If you have a peatland restoration project that you think might be eligible and would like to speak to one of our advisors please contact Scottish Natural Heritage’s Peatland ACTION team (peatlandaction@nature.scot) or, if your project is located in either of Scotland’s National Parks, the relevant National Park Authority.

The 2020/21 Funding Round opens on Monday 27th July 2020 and closes on Wednesday 30th September 2020.

Full application details are available on our ‘How to Apply’ webpage.
