Harper Adams University is inviting farmers and landowners who manage lowland agricultural peat soils anywhere in the UK to take part in a nationwide research survey.
The purpose of the survey is to better understand:
- how peat soils are currently used and managed on farms
- experiences and views on raising the water table/rewetting peat
- costs, risks, incentives, and barriers faced by farm businesses
- future business and climate-related risks linked to peat soils
Harper Adams University is keen to hear from farmers who have already raised the water table, are considering it, or are not interested at all. All perspectives are equally important to ensure research and future policy reflect real farm businesses.
Key details
- Time required: 15-20 minutes
- The survey is anonymous and fully GDPR compliant
- A £15 e-voucher is offered as a thank-you for completing the survey
