The Dorset Peat Partnership completed the first of their sixteen peatland restoration sites in February.

The Dorset Peat Partnership completed the first of their sixteen peatland restoration sites in February. The weather conditions were less than ideal with lots of high rainfall throughout the delivery but already the signs of change to the habitat are easy to see with greater visibility of standing water across the mire habitats at Agglestone and Greenlands, which will improve peat forming conditions and support changes to the vegetation plant communities on this part of the Studland and Godlingston Heath SSSI complex managed by the National Trust.
