Join the Global Peatlands Initiative to explore how South-South and Triangular cooperation can advance the conservation and sustainable management of peatlands at the Convention on Wetlands, Ramsar COP15.

Peatlands are biodiversity hotspots and vital carbon sinks, but they’re under threat. To protect these critical wetlands, UN Environment Programme / the Global Peatlands Initiative, the Ministry of the Environment, Peru and the GPI partners are convening to develop a 10-Year Peatlands Strategy to drive global action. This inclusive process is complemented by the Peatland Breakthrough, uniting public and private stakeholders around shared global targets.

🌱 With insights from Latin America, Africa, Asia and Europe, and a spotlight on South–South and Triangular cooperation, this event is a key moment to align efforts for biodiversity, climate and land goals.
