Background
In 2025, the GPI Research Working Group, led by UNEP and SRUC, delivered a 90-hour Evidence Synthesis and Policy Engagement Training Programme, training 42 peatland researchers from 19 countries. As a key outcome, participants developed seven draft policy briefs addressing priority global peatland policy questions. These briefs are evolving outputs, developed as part of a learning process. Feedback from government focal points and practitioners is highly valuable to strengthen their relevance, applicability, and policy impact.
The webinar will be conducted in English, with AI-powered live transcription and translation available in Spanish, French, Bahasa Indonesia, and others via Zoom. Both sessions will be recorded and shared afterwards, although live participation is greatly appreciated.
