About the event

This session will provide advice on how to assess, manage and mitigate UXO risk in peatland restoration. This will cover Client / Designer reponsibilities under CDM and also consider the duties of employers under the Health & Safety at Work Act.

It will introduce Industry best practice guidance - CIRIA C681 and the safety principle 'as low as reasonably practicable' - ALARP.

Potential UXO hazards will be discussed, followed by measures to mitigate risk through preliminary and detailed Risk Assessment.

It will cover UXO Awareness briefings, UXO detection and disposal.
