About the event
Through a series of three online webinars held from 03 - 05 November 2026, Peatland ACTION are providing a platform for all those interested in Scotland's peatlands to come together to hear about peatland work taking place across Scotland and beyond.
Members of the NatureScot Peatland ACTION team will provide a short introduction to the event followed by a range of different speakers from the public, private and third sector with opportunities to ask questions during the webinar.
As part of Peat Week 2026, we’re exploring the themes of Scotland’s Peatland ACTION Five Year Partnership Plan. Our first session will focus on Further - Expanding peatland restoration in Scotland. Speakers will cover the work underway to reach Scotland’s ambitious targets to restore more than 400,000 hectares by 2040, how partnerships and collaborative working are leading to increases in restoration efforts at pace and scale, and where Scotland is sharing knowledge and experience to support international efforts and collective climate goals.
The session is expected to last between 60 and 90 minutes depending on the number of questions from participants on the day.
