Introducing our key sponsor for the IUCN UK Peatland Programme conference 2024

As a non-profit organisation, the Peatland Programme's conferences would not be possible without the support of our generous sponsors. Here we introduce McGowan Environmental, a key sponsor this year supporting 'Peatlands, People and Nature'. To find out more about the conference and how to book, visit the conference webpage.

McGowan Environmental

Peatland restoration activitiesThe UK is facing the impacts of biodiversity loss and climate change. Founded in 2009, McGowan Environmental delivers projects which protect and enhance our natural environment, with our experienced team providing specialist design and construction services. From river and peatland restoration - to creating and enhancing wetlands and promoting public access through path and cycleway construction - we are the trusted contractor to a wide range of public and private sector clients.

Based in the Scottish Highlands, and with offices in Aviemore, we have assisted our customers in delivering several thousand hectares of peatland restoration across Scotland.  Starting with two small scale peatland restoration projects in 2014, McGowans have grown to become one of the largest contractors operating in the sector.  This growth has allowed us to expand and upskill our team, bringing on apprentices and young people, and provide high quality employment opportunities in rural areas.

We look forward to welcoming you to our stand at the IUCN UK Peatland Programme Conference in Aviemore.
