About the event

This half-day online session with staff of the British Dragonfly Society will introduce the bog pool dragonfly species; the Azure Hawker, Northern Emerald and White-faced Darter, their distribution, ecology and habitat preferences.

Guidance produced by BDS based on early findings of their Dragonflies on the Bog project in the NW Highlands will be discussed. Attendees should gain an understanding of how restoration design can incorporate features to benefit bog pool dragonflies.

An introduction to larval ID and survey methodology will complete the training, with time for Q & A at the end.
