Paludiculture Workshop

The Paludiculture Workshop is taking place from 31st March - 1st April 2025 in Bridgwater in the Somerset Levels.

VENUE: The Canalside, Bridgwater – close to J24 of the M5; ½ hour walk from the station.

 

PROGRAMME OUTLINE: The Workshop starts with registration at 11am Monday 31st March. 

Monday afternoon will focus on updates from Paludiculture Projects – 10 minutes for each project. Priority will be given to the Paludiculture Exploration Fund projects, but if you want to present then please let us know on your registration form.

There will be some space for show-and-tell; let us know if you plan to bring exhibition materials.

 We will finish Monday with some activities together to help shape shared outputs and co-design KE opportunities.

Dinner on Monday night is included as part of the workshop.

On Tuesday, we will focus on identifying the key knowledge gaps that remain, and exploring next steps together.

There will be an opportunity to explore the landscape and lowland peat projects of the Somerset Levels and Moors on Tuesday afternoon.

The workshop is free, lunch and dinner will be provided during the workshop. 

 

ACCOMMODATION

No accommodation is provided. Travelodge and Premier Inn are both about a mile from venue (The Holiday Inn Express is currently closed). Other hotels and pubs also provide accommodation in Bridgwater.
