Wales Peatland Restoration Grants open until January

Around £700K of funding is available to be distributed as £10K - £250K grants to individuals and organisations for peatland restoration.

The Peatland Restoration Grant of between £10,000-£250,000 is open until 14/1/2026, with the total value available for the 2025/26 grant programme at around £700,000. The funding is to develop and/or deliver a peatland restoration project. The competitive grant is open to individuals, public sector organisations, registered charities, universities, other higher education institutions and research institutes, third sector organisations, and private sector organisations.

Guidance webinars to explain the application process were held on 7/11/2025. Recordings of the English and Welsh webinars are available on-line for on-going reference.
