An ambitious plan to support peatland restoration in Wales over the next five years was unveiled on World Soil Day (5 December 2025).

Around £700K of funding is available to be distributed as £10K - £250K grants to individuals and organisations for peatland restoration.

Wales Peatland Action publishes Year 3 Report into 5-year Programme. Building on previous successes the report highlights priority actions in an effort to build capacity and upscale delivery.
