The ‘Sownd [ar Safle]’ events dovetail with Manon Awst and Dylan Huw’s ‘Sownd’ exhibition at the Venice Biennale. The latter is an immersive installation in Venice which combines organic materials, found objects and textual, sonic and architectural elements inspired by Welsh peatlands.

The events in Wales feature a performative presentation by Manon Awst and Dylan Huw, alongside newly commissioned live work responding to the particularity of its site by leading Wales-based artists.

The first event was held at Cors Bodeilio on Saturday 6 June, and featured poetry, performance, music, dance, and a fascinating interpretive essay. The next events will be held at Cors Caron, 11 July, and Cors Crymlyn, 12 September.
