Bio-materials for Construction, CHCx3 and the Paludiculture Exploration Fund

23 May 2024, 10:00 – 15:00 - Sophi Taylor Building, NIAB, Park Farm, Impington, Histon, Cambridge CB24 9NZ

About the event

There is a growing interest in bio-materials for construction, especially those that can displace C intensive materials. Paludiculture products, such as reed and typha, are already used in roofing, but have a wide potential. Other biomaterials such as miscanthus and hemp are also targeting opportunities for building materials. This workshop will create a conversation for interested people working on the development of biomaterials for construction (after the growing stage) to explore our common challenges and look for pathways that might take us all forward more rapidly.

This is a free ticketed event.
