Eyes on the Bog and PeatDataHub Workshop

Leeds University delivered an in-person workshop on Eyes on the Bog and the related use of the PeatDataHub for peatland data management and analysis on Monday 7th August from 11:00 - 14:30.

The workshop aimed to:

  • Establish a conversation between the peatland monitoring community in the UK and the PeatDataHub coordination team, with an initial focus on the Eyes on the Bog initiative.
  • Provide opportunities to share peatland monitoring activities, and discuss challenges in the field and data collection and processing using PDH.

The workshop expected the following outcomes:

  • Collect information on peatland monitoring priorities, monitoring activities, and challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange and training on peatland monitoring.
  • Collect field training needs from participants.
  • Collect data management needs from participants.
  • Initiating the process to build a community of practice.
