Moors for the Future Partnership are marking a significant achievement in their work to bring life back to eroded peat moorlands in the Peak District and South Pennines.
They have just seen work completed on their 10,000th dam which will block eroding channels within the blanket bog and raise the water table.
This gully blocking work helps to address hydrological issues which are fundamental to a healthy moorland habitat.
