Using UAVs for ecological monitoring and conservation - a knowledge-exchange workshop for practitioners in Yorkshire and the North of England

Leeds The workshop aims to increase the robust use of UAV data to inform environmental decision-making in the region by sharing knowledge and identifying opportunities for collaboration.  It will include case studies of current activities, discussion of future plans and plenty of time for networking.

International Conference on Climate Smart Agriculture on Organic Soils

November 23, 2017
Uppsala, Sweden; 23rd-24th November 2017 Peatland store a major share of the world's soil organic carbon. Many European peatlands have been drained and cultivated in the past centuries. This fosters land surface subsidence and peat mineralisation. This conference will discuss options for maintaining production on organic soils while reducing greenhouse gases emissions and buffering climate change.
