Scottish Government support Peatland Restoration with funding.

On Monday 22nd October 2012, the Scottish Government announced it will be supporting peatland restoration with plans of £1.7 million funding from their Green Stimulus package.

International Initiative on Peat and Climate Change Mitigation

FAO and Wetlands International have launched the global 'Organic soils and peatland climate change mitigation initiative'. The Initiative is an informal network of organizations and people committed to reducing emissions from peatlands and safeguarding the other vital ecosystem setvices peatlands provide.
