Explaining the benefits of peatlands in a simple manner

Researchers from the University of Leeds, Scotland’s Rural College and The James Hutton Institute have created a set of communication tools that provide a general and brief introduction to the benefits associated with improving peatland condition.

The communication tools have been designed to represent peatlands in Scotland, but can be useful for other areas too.

The images and narratives representing the benefits from peatlands can be downloaded free for awareness raising and communication work by anyone who would like to.

They also include a feedback questionnaire to gather further views and preferences by the public and land managers.
