International Conference on Climate Smart Agriculture on Organic Soils

November 23, 2017
Uppsala, Sweden; 23rd-24th November 2017 Peatland store a major share of the world's soil organic carbon. Many European peatlands have been drained and cultivated in the past centuries. This fosters land surface subsidence and peat mineralisation. This conference will discuss options for maintaining production on organic soils while reducing greenhouse gases emissions and buffering climate change. Registration and abstract submission before 22nd September. See website for more information.
